Beyond the semen analysis
Half of the embryo is his.
A standard semen analysis looks at count, movement, and shape — not the DNA inside the sperm. Sperm DNA fragmentation is a separate measure, and elevated levels have been associated with some cases of unexplained infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, and poorer IVF outcomes.1,2,3 It is not right for everyone, but it may be worth discussing before your next cycle — alongside a plan that includes both of you.
Much of the egg and sperm development relevant to the next cycle happens during the roughly 3 to 3.5 months before treatment — the window when many day-to-day factors are still modifiable to support the biological environment in which eggs and sperm develop. Once the cycle begins, that window has passed.

The window only opens once
Your clinic runs the cycle itself — the protocol, the medication, the monitoring. That is their specialty, and they are the right people for it. The months before it are a different job: the stretch while the sperm and eggs for that cycle are still developing.
That window is the only stretch where daily habits can support how they develop. This is not about using up the wait — it is about understanding that once the cycle starts the biology is set, and this is the one time you can support it yourselves.
What you leave with
- A written, personalized plan for your biological window — for both partners
- Clear priorities: which everyday habits matter most for you, and which are noise
- A plan mapped to your timeline, designed to run alongside your clinic
- One document, both partners, working from the same page at the same time
A note on privacy
You will not find testimonials, names, or success stories on this page — and that is deliberate. This is one of the most private things a couple goes through, and the people I work with deserve to stay private. I will not trade their confidence for yours. Instead, I will show you exactly how I work, and let that speak for itself.
My side of the deal
This only works if you actually do it — so here is my commitment. Keep a simple habit journal across your window: your own record that you followed the plan we build together.
If you hold up your end and still feel you did not get what you came for, your follow-up consultation with Dr. Leila Fazlicic, D.Ac, L.Ac is on the house.
The window is open. It is open now.

On the evidence. Sperm DNA fragmentation testing is not recommended for everyone, and findings across studies are mixed — it is a conversation to have with your clinician, not a box to tick.
