Cycle Decoded publishes educational content about pre-IVF preparation for both partners. This page explains how that content is researched, written, and maintained — and what it is and is not.
How claims are sourced
Every key factual claim in our articles is linked to its source: peer-reviewed, PubMed-indexed research or major clinical guidelines — including those from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the American Urological Association (AUA), the Cochrane Library, and the International Evidence-based PCOS Guideline. Where a finding comes from a single study rather than a meta-analysis, we say so. Where the evidence is mixed or contested, we say that too — including when the research cuts against a convenient narrative.
Who writes this content
Articles are researched and written by Dr. Leila Fazlicic, D.Ac, L.Ac, a licensed acupuncturist and holistic fertility practitioner. Cycle Decoded does not currently use an external medical reviewer. Rather than imply otherwise, we hold ourselves to a different standard: every key claim is cited to a verifiable source, so readers — and their clinicians — can check the evidence directly.
What Cycle Decoded is — and is not
Cycle Decoded provides education and lifestyle coaching for the weeks before a fertility treatment cycle. It is not medical care, and it is not a substitute for it. Your reproductive endocrinologist, urologist, or physician remains in charge of your diagnosis, testing, and treatment. We never advise starting, stopping, or changing any medical treatment, medication, or supplement without your treating clinician. See our full medical disclaimer.
Updates and corrections
Articles show their published and updated dates. When new evidence meaningfully changes a claim, we update the article and its references. If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, please reach out through the contact options on this site — corrections are reviewed and made promptly.
