Female Fertility

Egg quality, follicular environment, and hormonal architecture in the 12 weeks before IVF. Without the perfectionism that quietly raises cortisol and cancels the work.

What’s actually shaping your eggs right now

The eggs that will be retrieved in your IVF cycle are finishing their final maturation right now — over the 90 days before retrieval. What you do in that window matters more than almost anything else you’ll do for fertility, including most of the rules you’ve been told to obsess over.

The variables with the strongest evidence for egg quality and IVF success aren’t the ones the fertility internet talks about most. They’re:

  • Sleep architecture — melatonin functions as a major antioxidant inside developing oocytes. Light exposure at night blunts the protective curve during critical mitochondrial buildup. Bedtime matters more than total hours.
  • Chronic emotional state — chronic loneliness and isolation reliably elevate IL-6 and CRP at levels that affect follicular fluid composition. Inflamed follicular fluid impairs oocyte maturation and lowers blastocyst quality.
  • Mediterranean dietary pattern — pattern matters more than restriction. Vegetables, legumes, fish, olive oil, whole grains. Specific food rules don’t earn their cost.
  • Targeted supplementation based on labs — CoQ10 has meaningful evidence for oocyte quality, especially for women over 35. Omega-3, vitamin D if deficient, folate. Three supplements chosen from labs outperform eight chosen from the internet.

If you’ve been told you have low ovarian reserve

Low AMH or low antral follicle count is real, and it’s not the whole story. Doctors tell you what your reserve is; the 12-week window is about how the eggs you have respond. Among my clients, low-AMH responders have produced clinic-confirmed improvement in cycle response after focused work on sleep, nervous system, and the inflammatory environment. Fertility is not a single number.

What we work on together

In the 12 weeks before retrieval, we adjust the inputs you already have — eating, sleeping, stress, supplements, social rhythm, partner dynamics — toward a specific egg quality goal. No radical overhauls. No food rules that produce more cortisol than they remove. Personalized to how your body responds, not a generic protocol.

What this is not

This is coaching, not medical care. Your IVF clinic and reproductive endocrinologist remain in charge of the medical protocol. We work on the inputs your clinic isn’t asking about. See full disclaimer.
